New York State Medicaid Prescriber Education Program
The New York State Medicaid Prescriber Education Program (NYSMPEP) assists prescribers in making therapeutic recommendations in accordance with best practices through the delivery of accredited evidence-based educational materials.
NYSMPEP is a partnership between the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) and the State University of New York (SUNY) formed in response to legislation in April 2008.
NYSMPEP:
- Provides current, evidence-based information about pharmaceuticals
- Develops accredited continuing education programs delivered in an on-demand, web-based format
- Continually explores the use of additional educational modalities to meet the needs of NYS Medicaid prescribers
- Outpatient Antibiotic Stewardship as a Tool to Curb Antibiotic Resistance
- Earn 1.0 hours CME/CE from this activity that contains information to support improved antibiotic prescribing
